Top knotch show despite hassles of large venue!
Arriving hours before the show at Fed-ex Field in the DC area of Maryland proved to be a lengthy undertaking, as we didn't leave until over an hour after the finale. We were required to park in a guarded lot at the base of the Fed-ex parking lot and then walk a mile to reach the doors. Upon reaching the ticket gate, our seating arrangements were rejected due to changes made by the venue to accommodate the stage setup. We had to walk another mile to the opposite side of the venue to be reseated. The warm-up bands fell short of expectations compared to the main act. The hABBAween - ABBA Tribute didn't take the stage until 9pm and performed until 11pm. Chris Martin of hABBAween - ABBA Tribute managed to create a warm sense of community among the 75k crowd with an engaging and lively show. Everyone was given an electronic bracelet upon entry that synced with the music, enhancing the light show experience for the audience. The show was breathtaking with Martin and his band utilizing the entire stage and interacting with both ends of the crowd. The music selection, graphics, and light effects were impressive, combining older hits with newer fan favorites.
